EMDR Consultation
EMDR consultation is available for clinicians who are working toward EMDR basic training completion, EMDRIA Certification, increased confidence using EMDR therapy with complex trauma and related clinical presentations, or those looking to become EMDR consultants.
Consultation may support clinicians who are seeking to:

Consultation Focus
The focus of consultation will depend on your current goals. As your needs develop, the consultation focus may shift. Clinicians are encouraged to communicate changes in their goals so consultation activities and expectations can be adjusted accordingly.
As an EMDRIA Approved Consultant, I can provide consultation hours for clinicians pursuing EMDRIA Certification, including all 20 required consultation hours when appropriate.

What to Expect
Consultation provides a structured, supportive learning environment focused on developing proficiency in EMDR therapy. Consultation may include case discussion, review of clinical decision-making, review of EMDR treatment planning, and feedback on fidelity to the standard EMDR therapy protocol.
For clinicians pursuing EMDRIA Certification, consultation includes review of work samples across all 8 phases and 3 prongs of EMDR therapy. A recommendation letter for EMDRIA Certification is provided only after the clinician demonstrates the required knowledge, skills, fidelity, and ability to make appropriate clinical modifications when needed.

Consultation Requirements
Consultees are expected to come prepared with case material and relevant documentation. Please do not include identifying client information or protected health information in materials shared for consultation.
Depending on your consultation goals, you may be asked to provide:

Targeting Sequence Plans or EMDR Treatment Plans

Basic Protocol Worksheets

Case presentation material

Near-verbatim transcripts, audio, or video samples for EMDRIA Certification consultation

Documentation of informed consent procedures for EMDR therapy

Certificate of completion from EMDR basic training

Consultation vs. Supervision
Consultation is not clinical supervision. Consultation focuses on mastery of standard EMDR therapy and integration of EMDR therapy into clinical practice. Consultees remain responsible for their own clinical work, therapeutic relationships, licensure requirements, ethical practice, and professional competency.

Fees
Individual consultation: $150 per hour
Two-person consultation: $75 per person, per hour
Group consultation, 3 or more consultees: $50 per person, per hour
Payment is due at the time of service.
